“Claudius, make me a goddess,” begged the serpentine Livia before exhaling her dying breath into the face of her all-powerful grandson and ancient Rome’s fifth Emperor. Seeking to solicit the genuflection of citizens even from beyond the grave bespoke the extent of her toxic lust for power over the minds of people; a cell deep craving in her bloodless bosom.   
 
Power-lusting is a curious pathology - a symptom of unchecked narcissistic urges which cause a person to do anything in order to hold on to their status.  It is not the same thing as genuine ambition, which at least requires the Self to achieve something meaningful by way of human endeavour.  Given that the cunning Livia could never commit herself to open political achievements in her day by virtue of being born a woman in a truly patriarchal society, we could perhaps forgive her deceitful manipulations and manoeuvrings – perhaps.  But today, when boardrooms and senates have been a wide open field to competent women for many decades, devious behaviour from an ambitious female is not only desperate, it’s downright wicked.
 
When former Secretary ofState Hillary Rodham Clinton chose to lie while under oath to the House Select Committee on Benghazi about her use of the questionable private email server, she perjured herself at least thrice. 
 
Since FBI Director James Comey’s investigative findings have come out things have been made a little clearer in their details. 
 
Hillary Clinton said she turned over “all work related emails,” but of course, this was not true. Comey announced they recovered work-related emails which had not been part of the original handover.  She and her lawyers wiped some thirty thousand of them beyond “complete forensic” reach. (After the latest email hack scandal on the eve of the DNC, we can now probably assume they are in the hands of the Kremlin, though note how pathetically Hillary's campaign managers are trying to blame Donald Trump for this!)
 
Clinton also stated that her attorneys had “gone through every single email,” but Comey declared that:
 
“Her lawyers did not individually read the content of all of her emails.”
 
That’s perjury number two.
 
But the most egregious lie in any normal person’s book (excluding her supporters) is in regard to Clinton’s personal handling of classified emails. She repeatedly asserted:
 
 “There was nothing marked classified on my e-mails, either sent or received.” 
 
This assertion has been shamelessly mimicked by Clinton on her campaign trial... I mean trail more times than her husband said, “I never had sexual relations with that woman.”  Yet Comey judged Clinton and her colleagues’ handling of classified information as “extremely careless” and then said this:
 
“In addition to highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail.”
 
So, she lied and lied and lied - under oath. Then Comey recommended that the State Department not indict her.
 
Why did he do this?
 
During his hearing by the Oversight Committee & Government Reform Committee he said because he could find no evidence that she had lied to the FBI, and that there did not exist a precedent within U.S law to pursue criminal charges for such “extreme carelessness.”  He cited a 100 year old statute which had only been invoked once for an espionage case, that went on to not be adjudicated.   When he was asked why Hillary Clinton had not been prosecuted for perjury for lying under oath in the Benghazi hearings, he replied, “The FBI had received no referral from Congress to do so.”
 
It was clear that James Comey felt these deeds were not a criminal issue but a democracy issue, since now all the hearings can be read and watched by any citizen who cares to inform themselves on the internet.   The trouble is that I have not spoken to a single Hillary supporter who would care to. Not one.  The fact that she has gotten away with not being held accountable for the circumstances surrounding the deaths of four Americans while she was their Secretary of State serves, in their book, to make her appear clever, strong and savvy – attributes they like to see a female leader possess.  Shudder.
 
Hillary has now gone on to officially become the Democratic nominee at the Democratic National Convention where there has been a lot of praise heaped upon her head for her work with migrants and children.  She herself talks a lot about migrants, about how much she supports and respects their efforts to come to the United States and about how much they deserve to have a president who values those efforts.
 
Yet, she brutally threw under the bus one particular United States migrant and citizen when she blatantly blamed the Benghazi terrorist attack on a man who had made a very amateur film, titled “The Innocence of Muslims,” which she, President Obama and US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, all stated in 2012 was the cause of the “spontaneous uprising.”  (This was always false.  The cause of the attack was a well planned, well executed Al Qaeda terrorist plot to kill Americans – as Hillary Clinton well knew at the time, evidenced by her intercepted phone call to then Egyptian prime minister, Hisham Kandil.)
 
This man’s name is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a Coptic Christian who wanted to do his bit to fight Islamic terrorism, knowing it was coming to America’s shores again.  He posted the trailer of the film under a fake name on to Youtube.  The reason he used a fake name was because he was not allowed to use the internet without permission as it violated the conditions of his probation after a credit card fraud conviction – yes, he’s a petty criminal, but after all the talk about a previous record not affecting future decisions regarding American citizens trying to get ahead - that the Democratic administration likes to indulge in whenever it can - here was their chance to make that a reality.
 
Instead he was arrested in the U.S three days after the Benghazi attack, two months before President Obama was elected for a second term. He spent the following year behind bars in prison, a sentence I suspect he may have been glad to serve considering that thanks to the good graces of the State Department leaking his real name as the filmmaker, fully knowing he was under the death penalty in the form of a fatwa issued from Egypt and also Pakistan, he was clearly on their hit list, bounty included, as any person who publicly draws attention to the atrocities of Islam now happens to be (example: upstanding citizen & American author Ed Cline).  Was Nakoula Basseley Nakoula protected by the so called migrant-loving Secretary of State?  I think not.  He now lives in a homeless shelter somewhere in L.A spending most of his time looking over his shoulder. His “life” is over.
 
We know beyond any dispute that Hillary Clinton is a rabid liar who will always put her need to be the first American female president first, second and last.  What deeply disgusts me is why so many Americans, especially women and blacks, are so desperate to worship “a goddess” at the helm of their country’s leadership that they are prepared to disregard the content of her mendacious, covetous character.
