This more than about the vaccine but free speech in general. The left would like to ban different views on climate change. I guess we have to get Act's view on free speech.

I think the piece is interesting but fails on several levels. The main one is that it is unbalanced. Another is that it fails to acknowledge that dealing with the pandemic was uncharted territory for the govt and as such required a rapid response that didn't allow for dissenting voices to muddy the waters. That said, I believe when the next pandemic arises, we will be better prepared because we have had these debates and counter views more explicitly traversed. The rise of alternate media streams pushing an unresearched counter narrative was far more damagind to our country than anything the govt did.

Try telling that to my 26 year old son with Chronic Myocarditis and Pericarditis from the vaccine over a year later . a year of absolute crap ambulance rides ED Visits He is one of 4 in his friend group and another truck driver mandate from the same firm is the same the authorities and the media fraternatily are lying their arses off about the damage out here . . 64,000 + reports . .and 4000 serious life threatening injuries .. People make me sick how wash over the ruined and lost lives from this vaccine . find your empathy button if you have one ! I thank God my son is not dead like Rory Nairn who was basically murdered by this government

so many of us have similar stories & think of those like your son daily. if it had been a "mistake" by govt- as liz wants to believe- they would not have banned every protocol that mitigated/cured/prevented seasonal respiratory disorders- & mandated the opposite. their experts wld have refused the release of the lethal mRNA experiment with the 23 yr documented side effects & failure of a corona v "vax"- courtesy dr david martin, baric of EHA etc...

Liz, there was NO debate. We are no longer citizens, we are subjects given the choice of an unapproved, experimental gene therapy shot or unemployment. The NZ Government has done untold damage to this country, my region, my employer & my family / marriage. My wife, panicked by the government one-sided news, took my perfectly healthy 12 year old daughter to the vax center behind my back. Our marriage still hasn't recovered. I know of 5 fellow employees at my work who are now having heart problems after the vax who never had them before. I will never trust the NZ government again. Not with anything, now matter what colour tie the PM has. What was done to NZ (and the entire western world) was criminal.

Over the many months of lock downs we knew of many suicides, all linked to one work place via extended families there. Adults and children, gassing by car and hangings. The threats to take me and my family away, and put us in a detention center if we did not swab with toxic shit, for "tests" (DNA harvesting), whilst locked down. Surrounded by total moron TV heads following the govt black robe sermon every night. Then the masks came, and the shunning from society for having logic and the ability to understand what was happening. Then being barred from services for not having a fascist medical waiver, due to not wanting to be killed by a drug which already had the name clot shot before it got to NZ. The total destruction of family ties (in a way a good thing, as it unveiled them as utter morons who are in actual fact a liability to me and my family). Then, the knowing now as I type, that this can and will happen all over again, because demoralized brainwashed idiots like Liz are the majority in the west these days. RIP NZ.
