By Olivia Pierson [First published on Incite 27/9/18] President Trump is the hero of our time. I never thought I’d get to see the day when a U.S President stood strongly for everything I believe to be so important to Western civilisation. There are times when I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not just dreaming. Hearing his United Nations Address to the world yesterday is one of those times. Even in his opening statements, when someone had a mocking laugh at his expense after he began to list the accomplishments of his administration so far, his instincts just led him to enjoy the strange tension of the moment, and the levity was amusingly uplifting. The chamber burst into applause at his authentic and classy comeback: “I wasn’t expecting that reaction – but that’s OK!” Priceless. The greatness of this historical address lay in President Trump’s conviction that globalism has become the enemy of patriotism and ruined the ability of world leaders to stand up individually for their own countries’ individual interests whilst still maintaining proper cooperation with other nations. The President reminded all delegations that patriotic pride and national sovereignty is the only sound footing from which to negotiate at a global level: “Each of us here today is the emissary of a distinct culture, a rich history, and a people bound together by ties of memory, tradition, and the values that make our homelands like nowhere else on Earth. That is why America will always choose independence and cooperation over global governance, control, and domination. I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return.” This patriotic platform is the point of gravitas from which the United States has conducted talks with North Korea, and the countries which have been supportive of those talks, like South Korea, Japan and China. Only yesterday President Trump and President Moon Jae-in signed into reality a free-trade agreement to greatly benefit both countries. In an interview this morning with Brett Baier on Fox News, President Moon Jae-in now speaks hopefully of a possible reunification of the Korean peninsula as though it might be a thing that happens during his lifetime. Meanwhile, Little Rocket Man, Chairman Kim, has stated to Moon Jae-in that he wishes to see the denuclearisation of his country in President Trump’s first term. These significant issues on the table for serious discussion were utterly inconceivable before President Trump took office. It was thrilling to hear President Trump excoriate the evil Iranian regime in his speech. After watching President Obama bow and scrape to these oppressive killers with his treacherous JCPOA deal, to hear them called out by the leader of the Free World on their nefarious dealings was pure music: “The Iran deal was a windfall for Iran’s leaders. In the year since the deal has been reached, their military budget grew nearly 40 percent. The dictatorship used the funds to build nuclear-capable missiles, increase internal repression, finance terrorism, and fund havoc and slaughter in Syria and Yemen. The United States has launched a campaign of economic pressure to deny the regime the funds it needs to advance its bloody agenda.” The President asked for all nations present to isolate the Iranian regime until it ceases its aggression. The EU will be having kittens… again. Ha! In the name of America’s national sovereignty, President Trump went on to denounce two UN bodies that America has since withdrawn from, the Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court. He stated of the HRC: “I spoke before this body last year and warned that the UN Human Rights Council had become a grave embarrassment to this institution, shielding egregious human-rights abusers while bashing America and its many friends. Our ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, laid out a clear agenda for reform, but despite reported and repeated warnings, no action at all was taken. So the United States took the only responsible course: We withdrew from the Human Rights Council and we will not return until real reform is enacted.” E I guess when President Trump and Nikki Haley speak, they really mean their words. Then he stated of the ICC: “As far as America is concerned, the ICC has no jurisdiction, no legitimacy, and no authority. The ICC claims near-universal jurisdiction over the citizens of every country, violating all principles of justice, fairness, and due process. We will never surrender America’s sovereignty to an unelected, unaccountable global bureaucracy. America is governed by Americans. We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism.” How beautifully clear is that?! And how right and fitting. This is President Trump in the historical act of dismantling the globalist structures by taking the United States out of them. These bureaucracies are not worth a damn if America is not part of them anymore, including the Global Compact on Migration – another body of bureaucrats that President Trump will not have the United States be a part of. One of the very best moments of this portentous speech came when President Trump outrightly attacked socialism when he spoke directly to the disaster unfolding before our very eyes in Venezuela: “Currently, we are witnessing a human tragedy as an example in Venezuela. More than 2 million people have fled the anguish inflicted by the socialist Maduro regime and its Cuban sponsors. Not long ago, Venezuela was one of the richest countries on earth. Today, socialism has bankrupted the oil-rich nation and driven its people into abject poverty. Virtually everywhere, socialism or communism has been tried it has produced suffering, corruption, and decay. Socialism’s thirst for power leads to expansion, incursion, and oppression. All nations of the world should resist socialism and the misery that it brings to everyone. In that spirit, we ask the nations gathered here to join us in calling for the restoration of democracy in Venezuela. Today, we are announcing additional sanctions against the repressive regime, targeting Maduro’s inner circle and close advisers.” This is how a leader of the Free World is meant to speak: with insight, with sound freedom-oriented ideology and with proposed actions outlined. Venezuela is exactly what the Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Castro’s Cuba and the Kim regime’s North Korea all proved to be – a famine-stricken slave pen; a direct result of Marxist power-grabbing ideology. To now have a POTUS speaking in plain terms about the various corrupt and repressive regimes that the United Nations has been aiding and abetting, all while wagging a moralistic finger at Israel all this time, is just beyond brilliant. As President Trump wound down his speech to the assembly, his rhetoric soared: uote: “In America, we believe in the majesty of freedom and the dignity of the individual. We believe in self-government and the rule of law. We prize the culture that sustains our liberty, a culture built on strong families, deep faith, and fierce independence. We celebrate our heroes, we treasure our traditions, and, above all, we love our country. Inside everyone in this great chamber today, and everyone listening all around the globe, there is the heart of a patriot that feels the same powerful love for your nation, the same intense loyalty to your homeland, the passion that burns in the hearts of patriots and the souls of nations has inspired reform and revolution, sacrifice and selflessness, scientific breakthroughs and magnificent works of art.” Frankly, this was powerfully Jeffersonian and Reaganesque rolled into one and it really means something coming from a man who has inherited that all-American, tough, independent and optimistic spirit. This has always been the American Way and I, for one, am overjoyed that it’s back. I missed it. Well done Mr. President and thank you! I watched President Trump's speach to the UN on youtube hours after it was given and I was riveted to the screen until it finished. It was fast paced, and showed that Trump has absorbed a huge amount of "intellectual property" from the cutting edge of the Republican party. This political inheritance comes from Republican party ginger groups like the "the Tea- Party", or leaders like Ronald Reagan, and even reaching back to Barry Goldwater. Trump has formed a coherent political overview that appeals to evangelicals like me, to classic conservatives, to Jews, Catholics, the working classses, and free speech supporters. Although he is president he is running an anti-establishment ticket and winning, I expect to see Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme court and the Dems to take another huge hit to their credibility for backing a patently obvious "false attempted rape" accusation. Trump was happily wrong about his supporters would have so much winning they would get tired of it. They are loving it as much as the writer is and are nowhere near betting tired of all the winning.

Yes, John, Trump is having a great time doing this! That's because he has a long range, far reaching strategy into the future. The Dems only are capable of tactics, on any given day. Tactics without strategy is a loser's game. :-)
